This page explains how to use your privacy rights with TheBigBot LLC, the company behind GoTinyURL. It applies to visitors of gotinyurl.com and to account holders of the app at app.gotinyurl.com. The privacy policy explains what we collect and why; this page explains what you can ask us to do with it.
Which rights do I have?
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data and your account.
- Export your data in a machine-readable format (CSV or JSON) so you can take it elsewhere.
- Restrict or object to some processing, for example analytics on this website.
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier, such as analytics cookies, without affecting anything done before.
Under the EU and UK GDPR these are your rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection. Under US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) they include the right to know, to delete, to correct and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We give everyone the same rights, and we never charge you or treat you differently for using them.
What can I do myself, right now?
Most requests do not need us at all:

Deleting an account cannot be undone. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first so you are not charged again; see the refund policy.
How do I make a request to the team?
- Open the contact page and choose the topic Privacy or data request, or use the privacy email button below.
- Tell us the email address on your GoTinyURL account (if you have one) and what you would like us to do.
- We confirm the request from that email address so nobody else can ask for your data. We never ask for a password.
- We complete the request and tell you what we did, normally well inside the deadline.
Deadline: we answer within 30 days. US state laws allow 45 days, and complex GDPR requests can be extended by up to two further months; if we need longer we tell you why within the first 30 days.
Can someone make a request for me?
Yes. An authorized agent (for example under the CCPA) can make a request on your behalf. We will ask the agent for your signed permission and may still ask you to confirm your identity directly with us. Parents and guardians can make requests for a child; GoTinyURL is not meant for children under 16.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. We do not sell personal data, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising as US state laws define those words. Marketing measurement on this website stays off unless you switch it on, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal we treat it as an opt-out and keep marketing measurement off even if you click “Accept all”.
What about people who click my links?
When someone clicks a GoTinyURL short link or visits a bio page, the customer who created it decides what is collected; they are the controller and we process the data for them under our Data Processing Addendum. If you clicked someone else’s link and want to use your rights, contact the person or company who shared it. If you cannot reach them, contact us and we will pass your request on and help where we can.
What can’t we delete?
We may keep a small amount of data when the law requires it or to protect the service: payment and tax records (kept by Stripe and in our accounts for as long as tax law requires), records of abuse reports and takedowns, and copies in encrypted backups that expire on their normal schedule. We tell you if any of this applies to your request.
What if I disagree with the answer?
Reply to our answer and ask for an appeal. A different person reviews it and replies within 45 days, explaining the result. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the EU or UK) or your state attorney general (in the US).
