The short version
- No phishing, malware, scams, spam or illegal content, and no links that hide where they really go.
- We disable abusive links and close the accounts behind them.
- Anyone can report a bad link; reports are reviewed every business day.
- Repeat or serious abuse is reported to the relevant authorities where appropriate.

Short links are useful because they are short, and dangerous for the same reason: people cannot see where a short link goes. This policy sets out what is not allowed on GoTinyURL so that our links stay trustworthy for everyone. It is part of our terms of service.
You must not use GoTinyURL to
- Phish or impersonate: link to pages that trick people into giving passwords, card details or personal data, or that pretend to be another company or person.
- Spread malware: link to viruses, ransomware, spyware, unwanted software or drive-by downloads.
- Scam or defraud: fake shops, investment or crypto scams, fake giveaways, advance-fee fraud, fake tech support.
- Spam: send short links in unsolicited bulk email, SMS, comments or messages, or use them to evade spam filters.
- Deceive with cloaking or redirects: hide a destination that people would not knowingly visit, or show different content to reviewers and to visitors.
- Break the law: content that is illegal where you or your audience are, including child sexual abuse material (reported immediately to the authorities), terrorist content, illegal goods or services.
- Harass or threaten: target people with abuse, threats, doxxing or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Infringe rights: link to pirated content or material that infringes copyright or trademarks (see our DMCA policy).
- Abuse the service: overload our systems, scrape at scale, bypass plan limits or rate limits, or create accounts to evade a ban.
Sensitive but legal content (for example mature themes) must use the sensitive-content warning on the link.
How we enforce it
- We check destinations against known-abuse signals and review reports from people and partners.
- When we find abuse, we may disable the link, show visitors a warning, remove content, and suspend or close the account, without refund where the abuse is serious.
- Where there is a risk to people, we act first and explain afterwards.
- We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities and with industry abuse-reporting services such as Google Safe Browsing.
Report a malicious link
If you see a GoTinyURL link used for phishing, malware, scams or spam:
- Do not open it again or enter any details.
- Go to the contact page and choose Report abuse or a malicious link, or use the abuse email below.
- Include the full short link, where you saw it, and a screenshot if you have one.
We review abuse reports every business day and act on confirmed abuse the same business day.
Appeals
If we disabled a link or account by mistake, reply to our notice or contact us with the details. A person reviews every appeal.
